With 2ndA we are still working on the play!
Last week, we played a vocabulary game in order to revise the difficult words of the play:
We split the class into two teams. Everybody has to put their hands on their head. When the teacher says a word in English, they have to guess what's the Catalan word for it. If they know what it is, they hit the table. The first player who hits it can have a guess first. If the answer is correct, he or she gets a point for the team.
Besides this amusing game, they worked hard on the dialogues and actions. We agreed on some important criteria for the play to be good:
- We should speak loud and we should articulate.
- Gesture and actions should be clear and coherent with the character and the dialogue.
- We should face the public all the time, and look at them.
- We should be quiet, listen to others, and respect turns of speaking.
- We should stay on stage.
